Sir Rodney's exotic metal hand glove weapon and other similars
I never forgot the villainous Sir Rodney's exotic steel glove weapon emblazoned with his family's coat of arms insignia. This scene takes place during the climatic fight scene at the end. Derek Flint is destroying Rodney's secret base. Rodney opens a small case next to his chair and pulls out a steel metal glove and puts it on his hand. It is a devastating weapon which shows Rodney swinging and missing Flint, instead striking the concrete corner of a stairs, shattering it. Upon rewatching the scene several times, I believe the metal spiked glove actually came from a suit of armor. It really wasn't a 'glove', but more a metal 'sleeve' to slide one's hand into for protection and offensive use.
I have seen other exotic 'hand' weapons before.
In ENTER THE DRAGON, Bruce Lee's evil nemesis, Han, is a one-handed, former shaolin priest turned wealthy super-villain, a la James Bond-esque. The villainous Han normally wears a metal hand, covered with a black glove. The metal hand is in itself a deadly weapon, which Han uses to kill someone. But he also uses two other, detachable hand weapons.
1) BEAR CLAW. This looked to be a relatively simple attachment consisting of a short, transverse bar of wood with three, sharp metal spikes attached vertically to the underside of the wooden bar. A large tuft of fur decorated the top of the wooden bar, giving its 'bear claw' look.
2) KNIFE CLAW. This one was far more lethal. It was a metallic attachment from which four, long knife blades, each, probably 12 inches long, jutting straight out from the attachment.
In SHOGUN ASSASSIN, one of the three, brother ronin samurai mercenaries, 'Masters of Death', uses spiked iron, Roman-like, caestus gloves which come with iron forearm protectors, allowing him to block sword blades. He then punches enemies in the head, face, and throat, allowing the spikes to do the most, mortal damage.
There existed a historical hand weapon from India, called a, 'bagh nakh', or, tiger claws. This is a scary-looking hand weapon, consisting of a short steel bar with five, steel hooked claws welded on, giving the 'tiger claw' look. There are two metal circles on each end of the short bar, for a finger to go through. In Indian history, a Hindi prince accepted the invitation to parley from an enemy Moslem prince, each supposedly unarmed. But the Moslem prince pulled out a dagger and the Hindi prince, equally cautious, donned his hidden, tiger claws and used it to kill the Moslem prince.
