Why is mirage not on dvd in england?.

I have heard many good things about mirage, but i have never seen it. Surely there is a version of it on dvd somewhere?.

Beware, I saw (after searching for this movie) something on Amazon
called "Gregory Peck Collection" which initially appeared to be a box
of his films which included Mirage- it was merely a collection of trailers
showing his versatility as an actor-
many comments showed people annoyed that it had no Mirage, indeed no movie at all.

Mirage used to be on television fairly frequently when I was a kid. I don't know why it's never come out commercially on DVD. I do know that I was hunting for it on the internet just before Christmas and I actually found a site that apparently had made DVD transfers of all sorts of films that had never found commercial release on DVD.

I say "apparently", because I casually took for granted that I would easily be able to find the site again when I was ready to place my order. Ha ha, stupid me! All I remember is that they preferred PayPal, and didn't accept credit cards at all.

If ever you find it, please post here. It's a grand movie and well worth seeing again and again.

It has never been on DVD anywhere, but in the 1990s, Universal Home Video released it on LaserDisc in widescreen format in the U.S. and Canada, very beautiful clean transfer with great sound. If you have a LaserDisc player, you might want to check if it was released PAL in U.K.

I think i have found where to get MIRAGE on dvd, it is in america where they are doing it for $9.00 dollars plus postage $5.00 dollars, they have quite a few other rare dvds that are being taken from vhs to dvd, i have looked at the site, and just put an order in, and it seems a good site, with other films not on dvd.
