One of the best films I've ever seen....

and it's not on DVD yet! I wish Universal would release it already.

I haven't seen Mirage yet, but the plot sounds really interesting. The cast is first-rate as well. Hopefully, Mirage will soon be on DVD. Until then, I'll go to the suggestion box on the TCM website and request this one.

Universal's executives are not quite sure the DVD era has arrived. Give them a few more years.

While this is an extremely interesting and entertainig movie, well-acted by a fine cast of seasoned professionals, I think it is a bit of a stretch to call it "a classic"! POSSIBLE SPOILER TO FOLLOW! The revelation of the source of Peck's amnesia and the nightmare that ensued is a bit far-fetched and typical of Hollywood pseudo-psychological babble. This was also the case in another fine Peck performance - Hitchcock "Spellbound". Greatly entertaining but utterly absurd in its explanation of Peck's phobias. I have not seen this film in some time; I always liked it but the term "classic" hardly fits this one! (Or Spellbound -- Hitch has done a lot better).
