It's RUBY LAPP, not Rudy Lopp

Jesus Christ, how can the IMDB screw that up? The club is LAPLAND. The Franchot Tone character is RUBY, as in JACK RUBY, Oswald's assassin. The movie is all about JFK assassination paranoia!!!

You have an interesting view of Mickey One. I have seen this film several times and (like you) I also could hear the Franchot Tone character referred to as "Ruby Lapp" not Rudy Lopp. The JFK assassination paranoia aspect of your opinion is particularly interesting because the film was shot in Chicago. During that era, then Mayor Richard J Daley very rarely ever granted motion picture companies to film within the city limits, and the fact that as some punidts maintain, Daley was instrumental in getting JFK elected in the first place. The famous Kennedy/Nixon debates were also filmed in Chicago, where Kennedy mopped the floor with Nixon who was woefully unprepared to face cameras.
