If you liked Ipcress then try:
1-THE QUILLER MEMORANDUM(GEORGE SEGAL)
2-FUNERAL IN BERLIN(SECOND HARRY PALMER FILM)
3-FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE(2ND BOND)
4-THE ODESSA FILE(JON VOIGHT)
5-THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD(RICHARD BURTON)
1,2,3,5 all have a superb cold-war feel whereas 4 is on a slightly different track involving Voight tracking down a missing Nazi.
All of these are out U.K. reg 2 except no 5 .

Hitchcock made a great one in "Notorious," starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman!
shareThe Russia House
A Perfect Spy
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Smiley's People
Ronin
The Tailor of Panama
The Assignment
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
The Spy Who Loved Me
GoldenEye
The Quiet American
The Day of the Jackal
The Bourne Identity
Marathon Man
Three Days of the Condor
Spy Game
Somewhat espionage films:
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Casablanca
Havana
The Hunt for Red October
Spartan
Frantic
The only second chance you get is to make the same mistake twice. - David Mamet
Great list, SlowRain. I'll particularly second:
The Russia House
Tinker, Tailor (Mini-Series)
Smiley's People (Mini-Series)
The Day of the Jackal
Three Days of the Condor
Spy Game
Some others:
The Lives of Others
Flame and Citron
Bridge of Spies
Valkyrie
Gorky Park
Reilly: Ace of Spies (Mini-Series)
The Parallax View
Enemy of the State
Syriana
No Way Out
Not sure if these would technically qualify as espionage films, per se, but as suspense-thrillers:
Michael Clayton
The Insider
Silver Streak
The Odessa File
The Name of the Rose
The Pelican Brief
All the President's Men
The Constant Gardener
And everybody has to see Casablanca.
"Topaz" is another one. Not the best of Hitchcock, but is worth a watch.
shareIn no particular order:
The IPCRESS File
North by Northwest
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold
The Quiller Memorandum
I hated Billion Dollar Brain. It was a total mess.
This is definitely one of them.
