wonderful event
Saw this tonight at the Edinburgh Filmhouse ,5 minutes from where Sean Connery was born.
Connery introduced the film and answered questions from MARK COUSINS the BBC film critic.
Cousins is obviously a fan of Connery and this film, before Connery came on stage he reminded the sell out crowd that Connery is 78 tomorrow so we all sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him.
I hate Connery's politics but like his acting but he was charming and funny and was proud of this film,he spoke movingly about his friends Michael Caine and Sidney Lumet.
The film is great of course and is not as well known as perhaps it should be,Connery said it was a cult film but did no business when it came out.
