Dubbing themselves?

I was wondering about something that adds to the surreal nature of this movie - doesn't it sound like a lot of the dialog was dubbed in after the fact, specifically in wide open outdoor location shots? It would almost have to be, with the film/audio technology of the time. I just like picturing the guys in a sound booth watching the footage and riffing on the action, MST3K-style, probably with some recreational smoking involved. Certainly a lot of it sounds ad-libbed...

I noticed that too. Like you said, mostly outside, in the parts in the Alps and the Bahamas. I thought the EXACT same thing about them just smoking and trying to record in between giggles. Made me laugh even to imagine it!
