George's car stunts

Did George do his own stunts when he jumped on top of the car to rescue Ringo, or did they use a stunt double? That would be dumb to risk his life like that.

I think that was actually George doing that stunt. I do believe it was also George driving the Mini Cooper in the race scene in Magical Mystery tour.

Don't know for sure, but if that was a stunt, the likeness was uncanny !

I think I saw on YT, that it was a stunt double in some scenes. Good casting on that one.
