until I saw this MASTERPIECE today on Christmas. A truly amazing film and done to perfection.

I really like this one myself. I actually got to see much of KING OF KINGS on TCM Christmas. It seemed alright, explored some different things, like Salome.

Max's Jesus kind of has a sort of friendly, fatherly presence.

I love both movies, but my favorite Jesus film is still The Gospel According to Saint Matthew.
