Fantastic Movie!!!

Who thought Jack Lemmon was amazing in this film? I think he`s the greatest!

It is not our abilities that show what we truly are ... it is our choices.

This is one of my all-time favorites. I loved it as a kid, then saw it for the first time in nearly 25 years, about 1997 or so. When I saw the name "Blake Edwards" appear on the screen, I gasped. Of course, as a youngster, directors' names meant nothing to me. As an adult, I recognized him as the Pink Panther genious...and knew good things were ahead!

I was not disappointed, it was better than I had remembered...I could clearly recognize Edwards' comedic timing everywhere. My biggest surprise was Lemon...I had loved his villian as a kid, without realizing how far out of character he was playing. He completely pulled it off!

Jack Lemmon was hysterical! He made the movie! I especially loved him as Prince Hapnick, that character was priceless. When I'm citing movies to compare the great comedies to the great dramas of Lemmon's career, I always use The Great Race as an example because his performance was so over-the-top. He was a genius!

Yes, Jack Lemmon makes this film the classic comedy it is. I could not stop laughing for at least the first 20 minutes straight. Actually, I could not stop lasting practically the whole way though!
"You cheated! Cheated! I hate you! I refuse to accept! I won't win any way but my way, you've ruined my reputation, do you hear?! You I hate! You and your hair that's always combed, your suit is always white, your car is always clean! I refuse to accept! I challenge you to another race!"

Professor Fate is my all-time favorite villain; kudos to Lemmon!

Jack Lemmon's performance was Oscar-worthy in this film! What a hilarious character!

Seriously, I have to go watch the movie now, I've got to hear the line someone quoted about how Professor Fate hates the Great Leslie in real life!

Lemmon is brilliant!

"brandy, throw more brandy!"
"I used to ride my pony down these corridors, till i grew up, got drunk and fell off!"
"Pardon me, mister partner, who is this texas Jack?"

I reckon Professor Fate is a character to be compared with Cpn. Jack Sparrow

When the tower comes town at the end, doesn't the crumbling wreckage kill Fate and Max (probably Mr. and Mrs. Leslie as well as dozens of innocent Parisians)?

"I love corn!"

I love this Movie as well and never miss it when its on TV. I do have it on VHS and wan't to get the DVD to add to my Collection.

Like everyone else out here I think Jack Lemmon is on top of his Form in this movie. This Movie makes me Crack up everytime I watch the Part with Prince Hapnick It's almost the Best part of the Whole Movie. Hence why I want to get the DVD so I can just replay that one Section over and over again.

I just wonder when they did the AFI 100 top Screen Villins if Proffessor Fate made it in there somewhere its just a classic part.

The last thing I would like to say is that I ended up watching this instead of the Acadamy Awards last night at least this was Funny.

Jack Lemmon was phenominal! As Professor Fate he was already great, but then as Prince Hapnik. Omg! He stole the movie! He was HILARIOUS in the pie fighting scene!

This movie made me fall in love with Jack Lemmon - his abilities on screen are simply unparalleled. He gets so into this character that it really becomes him, and he pulls it off without fail.
I wanted to list some of my favorite parts of his from this film, but there are just too many - the whole performance, from start to finish, is noteworthy and hysterical. I just have to say, does anyone else nearly die laughing when he dives out of the Webber Automobile boardroom window onto the flagpole, laughing maniacally the entire time? IT IS HILARIOUS. I've gotta go watch it now - God bless DVDs!
