Have you notice in Gangs of New York and There Will Be Blood Daniel Day Lewis looks and acts almost like Professor Fate. The Moustache, the gruff demeanor, the shouting...It's Prof. Fate. I know if DDL did Prof. Fate it would be a hoot because that's so him.
shareYeah, I can totally see that one. I think he'd make a great Professor Fate. BTW, why hasn't DDL done more light-hearted movies? I think he probably would be brilliant in a comedy or romantic comedy. He pretty much can do anything well. It must not interest him - that's all I can figure.

Now that you mention it....Daniel Day Lewis in Gangs of New York does have a VERY STRONG
resemblance to Professor Fate: the eyebrows, dastardly mustache and the cool top hats.
Also constantly shouting and vowing to get revenge!
not Matt damon, but George Clooney for Mr. Leslie ! Or let's be really progressive, make it a "rainbow" cast and cast Will Smith.
