Natalie Wood in the TRAILER?
Natalie Wood appears in the trailer but it is clearly not from this film. She is singing and dancing something and wearing a white dress. Can anyone tell me what that scene is from?

Have you watched the movie? She gets third billing. Why are you saying she's not in it?
share@Brian-40: Please re-read my question again and answer only you know the answer. The Great Race is a period film set in 1908. I love this film!
Have you seen the trailer??
In the TRAILER Natalie Wood appears singing and dancing while wearing a modern mid-century strapless white dress. THAT SCENE DOES NOT APPEAR ANYWHERE IN T-H-I-S FILM. If you have seen her other movies, PLEASE tell me what scene it is from. I hope now my question is clearer.

Find a photo or screen capture of it and we might be able to help.

In the trailer Tony, Jack and Natalie (in the white dress) are shown from other movies and then this one. Listen as well as look at the trailer.

Maybe Sex and the Single Girl?
shareI just viewed the trailer and the Natalie Wood footage and the Tony Curtis footage are from Sex and the Singe Girl. I'm not sure which movie they pulled the Jack Lemmon footage from. Sex ans the Single Girl is another good film, but I love The Great Race.
shareThank you very much W22nuschler. I think that's it.

That's kind of different to contemporary times; using footage in
trailers from completely different films.
Possibly it's a relic from when actors were contracted to studios.
Interesting point THX1701!
You lost! Only the race!
The footage of Jack Lemmon in the trailer is from "How to Murder Your Wife" (1965) starring Jack, Virna Lisi, and Terry-Thomas. The scene featured is the end of courtroom scene near the end of the film.

shareI'm not sure about the trailer, but there is a scene where she is playing the guitar and singing, wearing a blanket draped as a dress. It is after the pie fight. They stop to clean up and she sings, with the lyrics on the screen and the bouncing ball.
