Okay, Maybe I was never elected President or landed on the Moon..but by God, Natalie Wood kissed me right on the mouth! My Boy Scout troop won some kind of award. We appeared at a theater where Natalie Wood and Jack Lemmon and Peter Falk were slated to appear one night to promote the premiere of The Great Race. I remember meeting them, and I remember being completely blinded by Natalie Wood. She is the most alluring woman who ever lived; and I'm afraid that won't change..ever.

Love Goldie. 30 years ago my Mom worked for her Uncle. He liked a cake I baked and wanted to know what I would charge for it. My request was simple: an autographed photo. Wish I could have met her.

Wow, that's a pretty great memory for you to have! I thought Natalie Wood was such a beautiful woman and I loved the sassy roles she was in. An adorable woman (in a very, non-same-sex-oriented way).

I love Natalie Wood. She was such a natural beauty and I think that she looks her best in this movie. Natalie & Jack Lemmon had perfect chemistry in this film as well!

I think Natalie was drop dead gorgeous in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.
Getting to kiss the most beautiful woman in Hollywood, EVER, has got to be the most wonderful memory of a lifetime.

I'm honestly not wanting to rain on anybody's parade — or get things any further off-topic — but for me it has to be Grace Kelly, especially the way she is shot by the camera in "Rear Window." My God it takes my breath away!

For a combination of vulnerability, approachability, sexiness and worldly sophistication it would be Audrey Hepburn, the quintessential ingenue of rare beauty and in reality also a deeply caring woman and humanitarian.

Without a doubt, however, Natalie Wood was a very beautiful and talented woman. We were all lessened by her premature and tragic death.

My name is Leslie and I saw this movie at age 10 and I could see my life planned out ahead.
Sadly, for me it didn't happen but I wouldn't settle for anything less than Natalie Wood which is a huge reason why I'm a bachelor to this day.

No woman can compare!

I'm jealous! I'm 56 now, but remember seeing this in Omaha, NE, when it came out in '65. I was 11 and was very smitten by the lovely Ms. Wood. Speaking of wood, I also remember raising some of my own when she came out of the lake, dripping wet in that delicious and tiny corset! I thought she was some kind of goddess!

Seriously?

That seems like a very small amount even for 1965 for an actress of her standing.

Hard to believe...not that I'm casting any aspersions.

There has to be some discrepancy here. According to Ms Wood's IMDb Bio page she earned $750,000 for each of the films she made before and after this one.

At the time of the making of this film Natalie wielded a fair amount of clout in Hollywood. I recall reading somewhere (but do you think I can locate the reference!) that there was a somewhat more than platonic rivalry for the same roles between Ms Wood and Elizabeth Taylor who'd earned the then record salary of $1M for "Cleopatra" a couple of years earlier.

If the $7,000 figure is accurate there would have to be some reasonable explanation for it (maybe a completion of some contractual arrangement with the producers). That might also explain why Jack Lemmon and Blake Edwards passed some of their payments to her.

Edit= Oh, and I agree. She was a stunningly attractive lady and a fine actor to boot.

That wasn't very sporting, using real bullets.

Natalie Wood in that corset, WOW. She was the best part of this movie. What a shame she is no longer with us.
