When Leslie and the Baron are about the duel, possibly for their lives, Leslie can only think to admonish the Baron for making assumptions about him! Does anyone else find that odd in a funny way?
So what I told you was true... From a certain point of view

Baron then nods him "Its your life". Leslie "u´r assuming again - En garde"
Leslie is a He-man so this is expected from him.
And then the duel itself...if one asks me i say it is the best duel ever, in any movie. We have intence, svett, close angles, moving angles, a little blood, both foil swords and sabel swords. Also the sound effects and the background music is top notch....we can see in both barons and Leslies eyes that it is serious. I vote Leslie over Luke Skywalker any day.

As a Star Wars fan (my sig gives it away I'm sure!) I cant agree with that point of view. Best pie fight definately though!

It was a good fight scene. However, I think that the best fencing-type scene was in The Princess Bride. ;)

shareI am watching this film right now. Dang, I am sorry I missed that. I haven't seen it in years but it is still really funny. Natalie Wood had the most beautiful, sexy voice. They had trouble finding clothes for her because she was a size 0. I hate her for that! She was a wonderful talent. Jack Lemmon as the gay baron is hilarious.
shareI've always thought the sequences in “The Great Race” spoofing “The Prisoner of Zenda” were the best part of the film, with Lemmon at his peak as the swish Crown Prince Frederick Hoepnick, and the pie fight as one of the film's best set pieces.
As for the sword fighting, my pick would have to go to Stewart Granger and Mel Ferrar in 1952's “Scaramouche” as probably the best and certainly the longest.
Swordfighting scene: Anthony Andrews and Ian McKellen at the end of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (1982). Close seconds: any fight with Gene Kelly in the 1948 "The Three Musketeers."
Okay, no. Honesty compels me to admit Kelly's swordfights are better than Andrews/McKellen, but "The Scarlet Pimpernel" was a better movie than "The Three Musketeers."
But this is definitely the best pie fight ever.
