Why aren't more Don Knotts movies on dvd. I found "The Incredible Mr. Limpett", but I would think they would at least have "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" on dvd also. I think they should put out a boxed set of Don Knotts movies. Does anyone agree?

Universal is pretty confused on their DVD catalog, but the most recent news is that they plan to release their Don Knotts films including this and 4 others on 9/2/2003. Keep your fingers crossed, but realize this is the same compant that doesn't even have what should be their flagship titles, Frankenstein and Dracula in print currently.
BTW, the old laser release in widescreen was great. And I love these films, especially this one.
It's on DVD now -- watching my copy loaned from Netflix, which also has "The Reluctant Astronaut" on it. Great piece of Americana from my childhood that I wanted my kids to see.
shareI recently picked up a box set of 4 Don Knotts movies: The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Shakiest Gun in the West, and The Love God. Not much in the way of extra features, but they are in widescreen.
shareI actually found this movie and The Reluctant Astronaut on one side and The Shakiest Gun in the West and The Love God on the other side. I was cruising through a local video store and found it in there inventory. It is called the Reluctant Hero Pack. I hope this helps.
