A Sequel

I wished that Universal had done a sequel to TGAMC a few years after this film was released.Luther,now a full fledged reporter at the newspaper,has some fame & acclaim due to his experience in the Simmons mansion & its aftermath.He's even written a book about it all with Mr.Kelsy & the book is a huge seller.Now there are other haunted mansions,ships,lighthouses,etc,around the US & those cities invite Luther to come & investigate.I realize that sequels rarely are as good as the original.But if they could reunite the original writers,Andy Griffith to help out again,Don Knotts of course & some of the original cast it might have worked out well.

Yes, too bad a sequel was never made.

In todays world sadly it might not play very well. I don't know if a lot of people remember the film. The Dark Shadows sequel, did so though its hard to compare the original with the comedic remake.
