Sorry, it was rather late when I started watching this so it's possible I could be making this up. But I seemed to be picking up a vibe, here.

shareI sorta picked that up as well, [sorry you probably did not view this part as it was near the beginning] especially in the part where the girls got out of their cars after they raced around, they showed close-ups during the 'racy' conversation while Billie was listening to a radio & dancing - before Kirk & Linda showed up. I found eye movement of Rosie very suspect - she had a look of adoration in her eye and appeared to be appreciating Varla's 'assets' more than the gas station attendant [later on in the movie]. Rosie appeared to look at Billie [while dancing] like 'she's pretty, I could get her, but she could never give up men' look.
At that time, I was wondering if this movie should have been included in last month's 'celluloid closet' festival [or similar name, it was Monday & Wednesday nights]
HA, wow I'm slow. I just watched the movie for the 2nd time and I guess I was considerably more awake for it than I was the first time. Because when Rosie sees Varla & Kirk rolling in the hay, she is clearly jealous!!

Billie's quote is accurate. Glad you picked it up. While Rosie was into Varla, I'm not sure if it was reciprocated. Only when Rosie was killed did Varla react.

Haha... I can just see Meyers walking up to Haji and being like, "Oh by the way, you're playing a lesbian. Okay, ACTION!"
Yeah, I also wasn't sure if Varla was really into Rosie, like maybe Rosie had a secret crush or something.
