Was on TCM this morning and...

Its the worst vampire movie ever. He never says a word during this movie and he dies at the end via drowning. How can one be of the undead and drown to death. It wasn't even deep water either but a stream that went across his castle

reply

We’ll thanks for spoiling it, idiot.

reply

Its not a spoiler since Dracula dies at the end of every one of his movies

reply

It is an established part of vampire lore that they are unable to cross running water.

Well in the movie The Night Stalker, the vampire is pushed into a swimming pool by the police and they fight it out and the vampire eventually escapes from the pool unharmed. So the link you posted is a plot hole

reply

No. The pool was not running water. It has to be running water like in the stream in Prince of Darkness to affect the vampire. Still water as in a pool is safe for them. Running water washes out the evil and destroys them.

reply

But wouldn't the chlorine in the pool wash out more of the evil than a stream?

reply

Not sure of what effect chemicals have on the undead.

In "Garden of the Dead" (1972) formaldehyde caused a zombie outbreak.
