The latest disc release of "Dracula Prince Of Darkness" is actually a DVD-R. They are being sold in a burn-on-demand manner, and the discs use the purple/blue dye.

There is a notice on Amazon's page for this item which states, "This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media." This notice is not the easiest to see, nor is it posted in the best area of the page. It can be easily overlooked, which happened to me when I purchased the latest disc release for Hammer's "The Abominable Snowman." It's my fault I didn't see the notice that the actual product is a DVD-R, but I'm angry at Amazon for posting the notice in an area where it can easily be overlooked.

Personally, I would rather own an actual factory produced DVD than a burn-on-demand DVD-R. Some people question the longevity of DVD-R's.

As for myself, I recently purchased the Anchor Bay double disc set of "Dracula Prince Of Darkness," and "The Satanic Rites Of Dracula."
