Dracula's cape


Why did Hammer change the capes from a solid black one in Dracula and the black and red one here for the remainder of the series I'm thinking it may be the one in Dracula was cheap looking probably because Hammer didn't have a whole lot of resources in 1958 as they had by 1966

I don't know specifically why but in response to any question about continuity between films I'd say that due to practical (availability of sets, costumes, etc.) and possibly artistic concerns complete continuity was never the film makers' goal.

No idea...but I bet an 8-year gap may be the reason, you know, to create something new...

Drac needs new clothes hehe...

The solid black makes him look more mysterious and eerie, while the black and crimson one makes him wildly sexier...

Maybe it was also to distinguish him from Klove, the other man clad in black.
