i am new to the hammer films and he didnt die in Brides (and that was pretty lame sequel).

who needs van Helsing when Dracula is so rubbish? killed because he can't step over a tiny crack in the ice, he could get into serious trouble just walking to the shops in winter!
if running water is so terrifying to the undead, why waste money on garlic when you can just leave a tap running.

He doesn't appear again in the series until Dracula A.D. 1972.

He starred in Horror of Dracula (1958), then Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) & then Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1969), with the lovely Veronica Carlson.
