Satanist Themes in Movie

I just saw this movie on the DVD, and I was surprised to see some images/symbols of satanism back in this 1965 movie, specifically:
1. When he is in the library, the librarian hands him the book "Magic and Supernatural" by Bessie, the source for the today well-known inverted pentagram with goat and Hebrew letters, and it is seen clearly on the cover of the book in the movie. (This same image would return a few years later in Hammer Vampire movies of the late 60s early 70s). Too bad the satanist themselves didn't use the symbol (they used a 6 pointed star instead).
2. The book on talismans (from the library) shows clearly a left hand displaying the "sign of the horns".
3. Black candles.

No inverted crosses, but the Vincent Price movie from a year earlier "Masque of the Red Death" has them. (As well as black candles).

You're surprised there were Satanist themes in a movie made in the 1960s? This was the decade of Rosemary's Baby, after all.
Satanism was all the rage in the 1960s. Anton LaVey founded the Church of Satan in California in 1966, and quickly became a media darling.

I second The Devil Rides Out (1968)

When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

Ecco, Ecco Adonai! Ecco, Ecco Osiris!!

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.
