any word on a possible dvd of the cincinnati kid. i cant imagine there would be one in the making but one can hope cant he? hopefully with all the hype on poker these days they will make a dvd of the best poker movie ever.

Why would you want to locate this artificial mid-60s-style false picture of reality. It's embarrassing. It's similar to many early to mid-60's movies that looked like they would have fit right in on the artificial stage of that period. Movies of that period don't hold up well over time since they are so "written". I LOVE intelligent movies. I hate "written" movies that have the stench of writers who were trying to prove themselves. What is written is often quite eloquent but it isn't the kind of stuff that anyone in the history of humanity ever said.
