im 33 and i think this flic blows' rounders' away!!!

any thoughts!!! rounders got me and the rest of the world into poker, but then i watched this, and i was like "this is better"

you can trouble me for a warm glass of SHUT THE HELL UP!!

I loved Rounders but there is no comparison. This is way better written and while Rounders had an excellent cast you can't beat this crew.

Both good movies, but as far as a poker movie, it's Rounders. Rounders is the most realistic poker movie IMO.

Oh, that shatters my entire universe

Not sure what your age has to do with it.I'm 60 and to me Rounders was entertaining but basically just fluff compared to TCK.Actually most films nowdays are pretty medicocre.IMO.

yeah age doesn't matter unless he's trying to say that people like us are young and expected to flip off old movies and like only recent productions. but when you throw together rip torn, karl malden, ann margret, all these great cast members behind mcqueen and the great edward g. robinson, you've got constant screen entertainment. some of the lines are priceless, like ann margret looking down at mcqueen's waist in bed and saying 'you are awake, aren't you?' and robsinson's whole interview w/mcqueen about his academic approach toward women in the twilight years. the sustained tension in the cinematography/direction of the card games is impressive - humor, stress, dialogue all magnificently paired together with some poker stares a la sergio leone.
