Is IDOJ One Of The Last Moral Shows?

Is IDOJ one of the last moral shows? Or maybe even the last moral show? IMO it seems that way.

Normal people will know what I mean by that without me having to say so, but since liberals have no clue what morality is (or at least they pretend that they don't), I am sure they will ask the nonsense question, "what is a moral show?"

To to nip that silly, self-evident, nonsense question in the bud, here are some of the traits that moral shows have:

- They don't take the LORD's name in vain.

- They don't have foul language.

- They don't promote evil (i.e. fornication, adultery, murder, or any other form of evil that newer liberals shows usually promote).

uh.... the brady bunch??? show from the 70's with clothes and styles from the 70's but upbringing from the 50's.

reply

Yes, maybe the Brady Bunch qualifies too...however, I'm not sure...because I know they released at least one dirty Brady movie in the 80's.

But even if we count Brady...then IDOJ would still be the second-last moral show?

reply

what dirty brady movie did they release?

"A Very Brady Christmas." Although a more accurate title would have been "A Very UnBrady Degradation of Christmas."

how was it dirty?

It uses foul language, for one thing. And I've read comments from others that claim it also has dirty sexual content in it too, but I cannot verify that 100% because I turned it off when I watched it many years ago as soon as I heard the foul language in a so-called Christmas film.

what? that is completely asinine. it does no such thing! the 'dirtiest' part was when Jan and dr gray lag goose make up.

I ventured over to the very brady christmas board and you are over there spewing the same crap. notice how you never cite anything.

the worst anyone said was when peter said 'that was one hell of a greeting' and really, if hell is that bad, then go back to the amish country.

I am now retracting my OP and officially striking IDOJ off the moral show list. I made the OP based on my memories from watching this show when I was a kid.

Since making the OP, I have watched a few episodes of Season 1. In one episode, Nelson gives Healy advice about how to score on a first date, and Healy tries to take that advice with Jeannie.

In another episode, one of Nelson's bosses tells him to keep the Russians he and Healy have to escort away from "the watuzi festival and strip joints." In the same episode, the lady Nelson is escorting offers to fornicate with him by telling him to "really kick it around" with her and also offering to "scooby doo" with him in her apartment.

Not to mention the fact that Nelson is constantly treating Jeannie like trash in general, as well as dating other women right in front of her face, yet on the other hand, he also simultaneously uses Jeannie by making out with her all the time. What a jerk! Nelson comes across as a real slimeball in Season 1! Is he like that for the whole series? Ugh!

Years ago when I was at a church revival meeting the guest speaker pointed out that shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie were satanic and evil because the main characters used supernatural powers and not the power of prayer.

Isn't it a sin for two people of the opposite sex to live together outside of wedlock? It's not like Jeanie and Major Nelson were married during the first few seasons. Oh well, I guess it was fine because technically Jeanie was his slave and according to the bible slavery is allowed.
