maybe Ian Somerhalder or David Boreanaz as Hogan? *shrugs* (Someone handsome & charismatic, capable of serious drama but with a good sarcastic style of humor. Young enough to believably be a soldier.)

Simon Pegg or Ewen Bremner as Carter?
(Great comedians, kinda look like Carter, but how are their American accents?
If he has to be an American actor, maybe Steve Zahn or Ethan Embry?)

Russell Brand as Newkirk (if he can actually pull off being a soldier)

Mark Strong as Col Klink?
(He could easily pass as him and he's a brilliant actor, but even the comedic roles in which I've seen him have been quite a bit darker than Klink.)

Ralphie May or Billy Gardell as Sgt Schultz...? Maybe James Corden? If only Chris Farley was still around....

Kevin Hart as Kinch...? I don't know though... doesn't really seem right for the role even though he's a funny guy. Kinch is kind of a 'straight man' comic role. Hart is a bit over the top.)

I gather Greg Kinnear as Hogan is either too easy or perverse?
