Paul Henning Postmodernism

So characters often cross over from Beverly Hillbillies to Petticoat Junction (recall that Grannie was sweet on Sam Drucker), and from Petticoat Junction to Green Acres (Cannonball crew, Uncle Joe cadging apples at Drucker's store, etc.), but in the Green Acres world, Beverly Hillbillies is a TV show.

"I like that show, especially the man who plays the father: Buddy Epstein."

Hilarious.

Are you serious? Does the show itself acknowledge at some point within the show that it is a show?

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

reply

yeah it acknowledges its a ahow all the time, like Eb singing the theme song, the title cards appearing on items in the show, etc...
