Lisa Douglas had the name right

She always called the town "Hootersville" and since it made it's original appearance on Petticoat Junction I think that she hit the nail on the head. I don't know if this was an intentional double entendre or just another Hungarian accented mispronunciation but that is the way she said it.

I don't recall ever hearing breasts referred to as "hooters" back when the show was on in its first run. Seems the term came later, like maybe as late as the eighties.

Hootersville was mentioned on The Beverly Hillbillies before Petticoat Junction was created.
