Anyone remember the "New Gidget", which ran for about 10 minutes back in the late 80's? What a load of crap that was - I think she was a wife and mother at that point.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
I do remember it. I checked IMDB and was surprised it was on as long as they say it was. It was ok, but I'd say it was an unsuccessful attempt to try and recreate the original show. When it comes to tv Gidget's no one could compare to Sally Field.
shareGidget was a wife and an aunt. She didn't have any children of her own, but took care of her niece. I liked it, but thought that if focused on her niece a little too much to be a show about Gidget. Great theme song.
