This show needs an R rating

I wasn't paying close attention today, but I'm pretty sure I heard Gidget say "up the ying yang."

You got me thinking. No, I couldn't have heard it—but I did! I found it.

She uses it in a bit of an odd manner, but it still sounds a bit shocking.

OK then I apologize for my insult. The fact that they're many on these IMDB boards that say the darnist things, I thought I was reading another one.

However if they thought the word was that bad, it probably wouldn't of been used.

That's funny. I missed the insult. I just had the TV in on the background and you had me thinking I imagined it (like maybe she'd said "yin and yang").

Luckily someone makes those mini-episodes and it was easy to find. The other episode on today had a glaring error mentioned in the IMDb trivia. It was "I Love You I Love You I Love You I Think." There's a minisode for that ,too, and you can hear someone clearly say hi Sally when she enters the classroom. Didn't catch that error this morning, but it's pretty funny.

I used the phrase "up the ying yang" a lot around that time and it was interchangeable with "out the wazoo." Neither seemed appropriate for TV at that time. It's somewhat mild as it wasn't taken all that literally, but I'm not sure even the word "crappy" was acceptable.

So you see Sandra as more sweet and innocent than Sally? Hmm, maybe Norma Rae made an impression.

It's shocking nonetheless. Gidget's too sweet a patootie to be saying bad words.

I keep getting the feeling that Gidget and Dad are just a bit too tight. But I'm just accustomed to Don Porter's and Ann Sothern's flirtations in an earlier series.

She is referring to the ying/yang in Taoism

Corrected correction: Yin/Yang
