'Life of Emile Zola' has a similar disgraced officer scene
I just saw the movie "The Life of Emile Zola,"(1937) in which they show a scene whereby Capt. Dreyfus (French army officer falsely accused of espionage) is booted from the army, given same routine as Jason McCord in "Branded": military regalia stripped off and sword snapped in half while his entire unit is mustered in attendance. Harsh!
