Eugene was Even Insignificant in Season 1 "I have 2 More"

Juban Tanner meets Audra and Heath on the ranch, then he goes inside and is reunited with Victoria. He acknowledges Heath and Audra to Victoria and she says "I have 2 more" I believe she was referring to Nick and Jarrod.

But later in the episode, Victoria does mention Eugene while talking to Jarrod.

Yes as was going to be written out after the first season I guess the writers weren't very careful. But then these were not the greatest writers in the world in my opinion

Instead of making Eugene a son, they should have written him up as a cousin. I have noticed that Victoria only speaks of Jarrod, Nick, and Audra when they were youngsters, but not of Eugene.

The problem was he was introduced in the pilot as a son and while waiting to see if the show was going to be picked up by ABC he may have been drafted. So they could not change the character. Charles was given permission to finish the first season from the military and luckily went into the National Guard instead of Viet Nam. He could have come back for the second season but the powers that be decided to forget he even existed which was a big mistake I think

Same problem with Chuck on "Happy Days."
