I remember seeing a film about time travel, they use a "claw" or "footprint" of a lizard like humanoid thta lived among dinosaurs to go back in that time... then they kill a tryranosaur there, they try to come back and the present is ruled by those lizard creatures... they manage to go back and kill the humanoid-lizard in the end...

is this one??
