Pretty good time travel movie. Loved it

For a 1964 movie, this movie had great concept and execution for the most part. Even though a bit underwhelming on effects and details and fully fleshed out plot, all the major elements of the story are done well.

The ending was really good with an open question - do more copies of them incessantly keep pouring out of the portal in the future?

It also has a few concepts that Star Trek seems to have borrowed later -
- transporter -- clearly before Star Trek and a very similar concept with the control station as well except for them requiring another end point... very believable - "you have to have been there to be there"

- The episode "Wink of an eye" of Star Trek TOS where some aliens are living their life at accelerated speeds just like in this movie. Story seems to have be developed along these lines...

Overall good acting and direction for the most part.

I would love for this to be a proper modern remake with the story 90% intact.... or perhaps a TV series with this concept. Maybe they explore other time portal periods?
