Does anyone know if a definite date has been set for the Special Edition Spider Baby DVD? I understand one is in the works for this year.

25th September 2007, Dark Sky Films will release the Special Edition on R1.

Can't wait! Own the older DVD release...has some of the same stuff on it. But...WAY worth buying it again!

I just got it (It streeted early at Hot Topic) and it has none of the stuff from the earlier release. New commentary, new extras. The extended scene is actually mostly back in the film itself (the conversation while the road is being blasted). They still trimmed off the introduction to the kids outside and jump right to them inside. It looks great and is 16:9 enhanced. The docs are great.

Hooray, great news! I've been waiting for this since seeing the film first time years ago on less-than-glorious VHS release. Thanks for the info.
