beverly washburn

I met washburn a few years ago at an antiques and collectibles show and told her I remember seeing her with Lou Costello and Bing Crosby, but also I had seen Spider Baby. Her mouth just about hit floor and she called a friend over.
"He says he saw Spider Baby!" Her friend couldn't believe I had actually seen the movie and I said it was on tape which surprised both of them.
I tried watching it again but gave uu.

She did talk briefly about Costello and said he had trouble remembering his lines on Wagon Train.

How about Sid Haig as the chauffeur?

We aren't getting the "names" like we used to here in Gaithersburg, Md. although Conrad Brooks is always here. William Schallert, David Prowse, Peter Mayhew, Linda Harrison, Kenny Miller and June Lockhart. One person I upset was Lana Wood when I asked about the rumor Wayne had murdered her older sister in THE SEARCHERS.
See you at the movies.

huh? Lon Chaney Jr. was the chauffeur.

I watched The Devil's Rejects recently in which Sid Haig starred. It also has four ther actors with memorable faces: Danny Trejoo, Ken Foree and a guy named Dallas Michael Berryman whose last name I don't remember. I think one of them might even named Rondo as a tribute to Rondo Hatton who suffered from acromegaly.

"I hope they do a remake of this movie {Even Though I kNow A Lot of people hope they wont}. If they did a remake who do you think theyd cast as "Elizabeth & Virginia"?"

Why do people like you ask questions like this? Just watch the freakin' original and enjoy it. there is no need for a remake. Ever.

I met her a couple months ago with Sid Haig and Jack Hill at Cinema Wasteland. She is adorable in person. She really appreciates her fans..

Good question, and I don't know the answer. She and her friend were surprised to meet anybody who'd actually seen the movie!

I did meet Stella Stevens several weeks ago, and she was a lot of fun to talk to. Mostly we talked about Cable Hogue which she said was a lot of fun to make. She liked working with Strother Martin and agreed that Peckinpah was an SOB but that he had his demons.

See you at the movies.

My memories of the movie are vague. I turned it off the last time I tried to watch it.
Somebody else who was fun to talk to recently was Stella Stevens who was here with Marcia Wallace. She said "Cable Hogue" was fun to work on and was charitable toward Peckinpah who "had his demons". She especially like working with Strother Martin and, when I asked her about THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, said Ernest Borgnine has his autobiography coming out.
Happy Holidays.
