the strange thing about my friend Karl is he can usually find a hot chick to fall in love with in any movie. we watched SPIDER BABY yesterday: ole 60s b&w movie...and he STILL had a crush on someone in it...the girl who played Virginia(oh you know the one, she throws a web on ya and stabs ya to death after foreplay). Well anyway, i did a search to see who she is and what she's doin now and sadly, Jill Banner died in a car accident in her 40s. how depressing.

Spider Baby was filled to the roof with hot chicks, but Jill Banner was the most beautiful. Her performance definitely made me like the movie more.

I just caught this movie at the drive-in and dang, it was freaky. Sorry to hear about Miss Banner - your friend should check out THE PRESIDENT'S ANALYST where she's featured as a total opposite - a hippie girl named Snow White. The movie's most celebrated scene has her and James Coburn (the title char.) making love in a meadow as several groups of government agents sneak up trying to abduct him.

I just watched the film on TCM, and was struck by how beautiful Virginia was. I have a thing for evil brunettes, though, so I'm sure that plays some role in my infatuation.

Well I personally thought that BOTH the girls were about as gorgeous as inbred retards could or should possibly ever be, but her "spiders like bugs" laptop seduction bit WAS pretty memorable....

Jill was also on several of the color Dragnet episodes. Usually playing a bad girl. She's hot in this film, even when eating spiders.

I can't get over just how beautiful Jill Banner was. I just recently discovered her while watching The President's Analyst. The 5 Dragnet episodes she did can be viewed on this site. She is especially hot in the one where she plays a mentally ill woman. Such a shame she died so young. She is buried at the Pierce Bros. Valhalla cemetery just south of the Burbank airport.

I just watched Spider Baby again the other night, and I'm still impressed with her beauty.

B.T.W. I commented to some friends who watched Spider Baby with me, that if Virginia got married, then she could play Black Widow.

All the ladies in this film were beautiful. But Jill was by far the most beautiful. There was something magnetic about her.

Jill was the best thing about this movie. It was actually filmed in 1964 when she was just 17 or 18. She did a good job in playing the strange character she was in this film at that age.
