Hello to all fans of this movie!

I just received the latest Criterion newsletter (Dec 14, 2006).

Here's the first paragraph :

"This year at Criterion, we’ve had a lot of great releases, and we’re already looking forward to what 2007 will bring. There are many treasures in store for the new year, including some of our latest acquisitions, such as John Huston’s Under the Volcano, and titles from our laserdisc days, like Robinson Crusoe on Mars."

That's fantastic news!....I own a vhs copy of the laserdisc which my friend bought me a few years back....the best thing to be said is that its letterbox, but the tape quality was pretty so-so....can't wait for a clean , crisp copy on DVD....I heard Mantee gave commentary on the laserdisc. I hope they include it....

That it's finally coming out on DVD is good news,but that Criterion is doing it is great news.
