It's a great film, one of my favourites. Robinson Crusoe on Mars, simple and brilliant.

Almost had me fooled there...
However, fiction or not, there´s no excuse for such godawful acting, terrible dialogue (or, mostly, monologues the dudes gives to his... tape recorder?), banal by-the-numbers story, special effects/production design largely terrible even for its time, some real gooey plot developments topped off with a happy ending of ridiculous dimensions... and indeed - couldn´t they get ´anything´ concerning the scientific matters right? It´s just lazy screenwriting - instead of even trying to be at least somewhat true to the actual circumstances, they just bluntly ignore all such matters. Dumb, populist dreck. 3/10.
