DVD for the 40th anniversary?

Hopefully, either Paramount Video or Criterion (they had the laserdisc version with nice extras on it) will release the film onto DVD some time in 2004, for the 40th anniversary.

It is on AMC channel this month and in June/2004

They added about 10 minutes of "extras" to it, but they can be zapped.

Another vote for a DVD version of Robinson Crusoe on Mars!

I'd also love to see a Robinson Crusoe on Mars DVD. What is the big problem with the delay?

I'm glad that I taped this one in the 80s. Just saw it several weeks ago and the film has lost none of its luster. It's an intelligent and fun film to watch.

This film also has sentimental value because my late father took us to see it in 1964. It was awesome on the big screen. The meteor scene in the beginning was almost as spectacular as the meteor scene above Jupiter during the aero-braking scene in 2010.

It must be 20 years since I've seen it. I really want a DVD of it.
It hasn't been on television for at least a decade.
Even getting a NTSC vhs copy would be nice. I keep trying.

a dvd, vhs or any version besdies laser would be great. One of my favorite movies.

Paramount could have included this as an extra on the deluxe DVD edition of the George Pal/Byron Haskin version of WAR OF THE WORLDS due out this November.

I've got this on VHS.
