where the guy who is stranded kills those turtle like aliens to make shelter or not? and if it isn't can someone please tell me what movie was the one with the turtle like aliens

I believe those that made Enemy Mine got a lot of their ideas from RCOM.

With all the similarities it seems like a remake of the '64 movie.
