the young girl (spoilers)


The mother-in-law and Hachi one way or another appear to be punished by life and pay for their crimes. But the young girl seems to get away with murder. Do you think the author regards her as innocent, because of her relatively young age? Or is she also destined to die of hunger, considering that she no longer has the means to acquire food?

Yes i do. i there is one shot in the middle of the movie , where you see another much younger girl being lead by much more battered women. And what i thought at that moment was how young people most often are the most innocent cause they have had less time on earth
