colorized version

Does anyone know where to find a DVD of it?

reply

It was never colorized. Ironically, John Huston said it was the only black & white film he ever made that he wished he had filmed in color.

Should be B&W, but I'd love a colorized DVD for Lyon.

If you have Xfinity, the colorized version is available to buy. I bought it then ripped it to HQ DVD in case WB decides to remove it

Colorizing this film would ruin its visual mood, especially during the long night sequence near the end. When a movie is designed specifically for black and white by a good cinematographer, slathering computer-generated color all over it can mar its beauty.
