kellys reaction to grant because of possible child abuse herself?

a comment is made in the criticism that kelly is always hitting someone. i would like to put forth the fact that fuller was showing her with a lot of rage against men possibly as a victim of child abuse herself. therefore, when grant tells her that she is the only one he can marry because she is abnormal like him,her first reaction is totally animal-like.she is not like him. she has become what she is because of people like him. what does anyone else think?

Seemed like a normal reaction to me. The most vicious attack was on the madam, so if anyone abused her it was probably her mom

I completely agree. Her reactions to everything; both violent and compassionate, as well as her past profession, all seem to indicate she had a history of abuse. She attacked Candy because she was enticing Buff into the business and lifestyle that would have ruined her life.

People who were sexually abused as children typically enter the sex trade when they grow up. Like the little girl Kelly saw at Grant's house, they may not even be aware they were abused at the time but when they grow up it stays with them. They use sex to earn money, use men, and get the things they want from people.

Having escaped that life and working on building a new life, she was particularly interested in helping young women avoid going the same route. She also helped vulnerable children perhaps because she could not have any of her own. By the way, I think the reason she could not have children was because she had had abortions, probably multiple, during the time she was in the sex industry. When her friend turns up pregnant she helps her and makes her promise to have her baby no matter what; even if her boyfriend jilted her.
