I honestly think this is Don Knott's best role.

I'm sure people will differ with me and say that it is Mayberry or Three's Company.

But those characters are more one-dimensional than this movie.

He did quite well in the Ghost and Mr. Chicken

Oh Yes! The Ghost and Mr. Chicken is his best character portrayal in the movies...Barney Fife best in TV portrayal followed by Mr. Furley in 3's Company.

The Shakiest Gun in the West was a great role too. And Barney Fife, of course.
