I think it would be fascinating to see the footage filmed with Joan Crawford as Miriam.

I wonder what happened to the completed scenes?

What an outstanding "special features" component for any future DVD!

According to a documentary about "Charlotte", currently on YouTube, the crew felt they practically re-shot the movie all over again with Ms. de Havilland as Miriam after Ms. Crawford left the project.

That tells me there would be a substantial number of filmed scenes with Joan Crawford as Miriam.

Does anybody have any idea of what became of the Crawford footage?

Crawford and Davis together again would have been a stronger film and a bigger box office hit than it was. I wish Joan Crawford had not gotten sick and left Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte

Crawford filmed a lot of scenes but strangely none with Bette Davis, she filmed scenes with Agnes Moorehead,Joseph Cotten, Mary Astor and even with Cecil Kellaway but none with Davis[apart from a publicity still in the graveyard with Joan].While i would love to see the scenes Crawford shot the movie itself would have been a lot darker and i would have suspected Crawford as soon as she stepped out of the taxi,Olivia you did not suspect to well into the movie and she was just perfect for the part of Miriam.
