'I'm glad for Olivia - she needs the work!"

Olivia did not want to make this film especially after her previous film 'Lady in the Cage' which prompted LIFE magazine to say, 'Add Olivia's name to the list of movie actresses who apparently would rather be freaks than forgotten.' Despite turning in an excellent performance this film did nothing for Olivia's film career and ultimately she ended up doing two of the biggest bombs of the 70's, The Adventurers (1970) and The Swarm (1978).

I often laugh that Olivia turned down playing Lisolette in The Towering Inferno which was Irwin Allen at the top of his game at the time but then starred in one of his biggest turkeys in The Swarm four years later. Mind you I cannot imagine anybody but Jennifer Jones playing Lisolette but the role would have been a good one for Olivia in a all star spectacle.

It was good to see Olivia reunited with Joseph Cotton in Airport 77 which was a pretty decent flick but the script gave Olivia very little to do.

I wonder if Crawford ever realized how much of a condescending twat she could really be.
