Mystery solved on unknown song

You know that scene where Ringo plays a pop number on the Radio? Apparently, the mystery has been solved: It is The Beatles themselves, but played completely differently to sound nothing like them.

I am listening to Breakfast with the Beatles here in Los Angeles right now, as I type this. They played the whole thing on Radio recently for the first time ever.

You mean it's a Beatles song performed by somebody else? Which song is it?

It was during a segment with Chris Carter and Dave Morrell. That was where I heard it in full. The tape was re-discovered in a warehouse and labeled as "The Beatles".

Many people also called in, and agreed that it was The Beatles.

Oh, so it IS the Beatles performing, but nothing like they normally did, not one of their identifiable songs. Thanks!
