Paul's grandfather(s) - reel to real

In A Hard Day's Night Wilfred Brambell plays Paul McCartney's grandfather. Since he is referred to as "John McCartney" I presume he is supposed to be Paul's paternal grandfather.

If I have my facts straight, Wilfred Brambell (1912-1985) was not only much younger than Paul's actual paternal grandfather, Joseph McCartney (born 1866) but also much younger than Paul's father, Jim McCartney (1902-1976).

So here are some question for all you Beatle fans: When did Joseph McCartney die? Was he still alive when Paul was born? And what about Paul maternal grandfather, Owen Mohan? When was he born and when did he die? And was he still alive when Paul was born?

This family tree http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=:3283714&id=I55222 shows a date of death for Paul's grandmother but not his grandfather.
