Barbara Shelley is one of my favorite Hammer heroines, and I'm glad she had a lead role. I enjoyed "The Gorgon," despite the low budget special effects. There was some real psychological insight shown into the villagers with their conspiracy of denial at the start of the film.
****************************** In heaven everything is fine.
I thought it was so-so. Bit boring in places. Thought Professor Meister shoving the policemen over and Dr Namaroff falling over was quite amusing. But not my favourite Hammer by a long shot.
Exactly. It was OK. There are plenty of Hammer films that surpass this in plot, execution, effects. "The Gorgon' is not terrible but not particularly memorable either.
It wasn't an amazing film but wasn't too bad either. I'd say it was rather average. But worth a watch if you're a fan of Hammer Films and/or Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
